Google doodle game, is a nicely designed 2D platformer game featuring a pangolin in love and chocolate cake. As is usually the case, this Doodle serves as both a bit of fun and quirky eye-candy and as a way to draw much-needed attention to a more serious subject.

According to androidheadlines the game starts out with a pangolin checking his mail on Valentine's Day to find a letter from its significant other who lives someplace far away. As he rushes to pack his things, he realizes that he doesn't actually have any Valentine's Day gifts for the pangolin he loves.

The game mission is to collect cocoa beans to help you bake a cake for your would-be Valentine the basic mechanism reminds of one Mr Sonic the Hedgehog and his fondness of obtaining gold rings. Reach 150 cocoa beans within the allotted time (three minutes for level one) and you're through to the next stage, presumably, but we haven't made it that far. You can also play it on your mobile device, via trustedreviews.

The story starts out in Ghana but then moves through three other countries including China, India, and the Philippines. Each level is uniquely crafted to capture some aspect of the culture found within the country that level takes place in. Pangolins are endangered from poaching for food and tribal medicines, as well as habitat loss, which is likely the reason the company chose to bring attention to them with the Doodle-based game.
