Those who are still trying to get their hands on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition can still grab the elusive retro gaming console. It is sold out on most online retailers but here's a list of availability and retailers where people can still buy the console in the U.S.

A couple of retailers recently stocked up on the NES Classic Edition but it got sold out immediately. GameStop made the console available on Jan. 25 but only after a few minutes, its caption that said "limited number of units" turned to "sold out" right away in spite of each customer being allowed to buy only one unit. GameStop currently does not list the gaming console. Best Buy, on the other hand, lists the NES Classic Edition on its online store for 59.99 USD but it is not available for purchase as well.

Target currently does not have NES Classic Edition units on its online store but lucky customers may still be able to grab one from a physical store. Fans can check BrickSeek.com to know if it is in stock.

Toys R Us does not list the console online because the retailer only sells it in stores. Meanwhile, Amazon now offers the console but it comes for at least 120 USD. Newegg also offers it but for 210 USD while Player's Choice has it for 189.99 USD. Chunk Toys offers the NES Classic Edition two-player bundle for 199.99 USD whereas eBay sells it for 115 USD or more. In the UK, people can buy it from Smyths Toys at 49.99 GBP which is about 61.57 USD. However, units are of limited stock, too.

The remake of the NES Classic has triggered nostalgia among players all over the world. Since the NES Classic Edition launch, Nintendo was not able to supply retailers with new stocks and demand has immensely grown all over the world.

The NES Classic Edition is a 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System remake which comes preinstalled with 30 retro games including The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario titles and Final Fantasy, among others.

The games also received modern upgrades with brighter and sharper pixelated images. According to Nintendo, the NES Classic Edition will have a steady flow of additional stocks through the holiday season and new year.

"Many of us have fond and wonderful memories of the original NES," says Doug Bowser, senior VP of sales and marketing at Nintendo about the Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition.

"With these launch activities for the NES Classic Edition, we want to replicate the nostalgic feelings of sitting down and playing the NES with your family for the first time."
