Nokia made its return in 2017 with its mid-range Nokia 6 smartphone selling out in its first flash sale. It appears that HMD Global has successfully re-introduced the well-recognized brand.

Questions are still being thrown around regarding the international availability of its new device. Nokia's latest smartphone release has evidently created a buzz in the mobile phone scene. Now, a GFXBench listing has revealed that the company has a new tablet in the works.

The GFXBench leak details a seemingly large tablet with a suspected 18.4-inch display. Sources claim that it might be a sequel to Nokia N1 Android tablet. HMD Global might be manufacturing a slate that could compete with Samsung's Galaxy View, according to GSM Arena. The Galaxy View clocks in with a 2.65-kilogram weight, which sources speculate to be close to the Nokia tablet's possible weight.

Foxconn subsidiary, FIH Mobile, is apparently handling the tablet's production. The listing details the operating system as Android 7.0 FIH Edition, which appears to be a clue to its branding, according to Phone Arena.

Specifications

The tablet will reportedly comes with a 18.4-inch touchscreen with a five-finger gesture support. The display resolution is listed with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The device is packed with a 52GB storage, which is obviously actually 64GB, with 12GB allocated for system use.

It comes with a 2.2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with a 3.6GB RAM. It also has an Adreno 540 GPU to handle the graphics on its massive display. The unit will reportedly have NFC, GPS, and 4G LTE connectivity.

Twin 12-megapixel sensors would be used for its main and secondary cameras. Both camera units are capable of 4K UHD videos, while the main camera is listed to have auto-focus and an LED flash. The selfie camera features was unfortunately not indicated.

The leaked GFXBench specifications are obviously not final. Some customers have stated that it is strange that HDM global has opted to develop a Nokia tablet this early.
