Intel has been grabbing the headlines with its new Kaby Lake processors. Aside from the usual suspect like the Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, one budget-friendly CPU is also getting a lot of attention.

The Intel Pentium G4560, which is one of the processors introduced as part of the new Kaby Lake family, is turning heads because of its value in terms of its capabilities. This particular processor has been dubbed as the new king of budget CPUs priced less than $100, WCCF Tech reported.

The Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake processor is priced at $64 in the United States. While the price may suggest that it is a budget CPU, the truth is that it can compete with the top processors on the market, Computer Base reported.

The benchmarks surprisingly revealed that the Pentium G4560 processor is 15 percent faster than FX-6300 processor and 23 percent better than the A10-7890K processor in terms of application performance. The FX-6300 processor was sold for $90, while the A10-7890K was made available for $149.

In Full HD gaming, the Intel Pentium G4560 Kaby Lake processor also won the battle by a mile. It is 16 percent faster than the FX-6300, 26 percent faster than the Intel Pentium G4400, and 26 percent better than the A10-7890K.

The new Pentium processor has been compared to the much expensive Intel Core i3-6100 and Intel Core i5-2500K processors. The two processors are better in 1080p and 720p gaming. In general Windows application performance, the Intel Core i3-6100 is just three percent faster, while the i5-2500K is one percent faster.

The Intel Pentium G4560 dual-core processors feature Hyper-Threading Technology with its four threads. It is the first of its kind in the Pentium processor family. It has a base clock of 3.50 GHz and has the 1150 MHz Intel HD Graphics 610. It can also handle mainstream graphics cards like the GeForce GTX 980 Ti.
