Google is expected to release the new Nexus 7 2016 tablet soon and many wonder whether it would be a Nexus or Pixel device.

The device could be released as a budget-friendly tablet running on the Andromeda OS. It is expected to feature an AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. However, the Google Nexus 7 2016 may not be launched until next year.

The Google Nexus 7 2016 could be rebranded as the Google Pixel 7, but no official statement has been made by Google at the moment. The Nexus name could also be retained as Google is speculated to make only consumer-focused Pixel devices.

The third-gen Nexus 7 tablet will be made by Huawei with HTC instead of Asus. The Google Nexus 7 is said to feature a 7-inch display with AMOLED Quad pane with a 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.

The Google Nexus 7 2016 could come with 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. The Nexus 7 may also feature a 13 MP rear camera with advanced capabilities. It is expected to come with Adreno 530 GPU and USB Type-C connectivity with 5,100 mAh battery.

The Andromeda OS is a mix of the Chrome and Android operating systems, and it is said to make the Nexus 7 2016 be like a desktop PC in terms of performance with huge advancements in programs and features. The Nexus 7 would be the first tablet to run the latest operating system.
