'Final Fantasy XV' Rumors: Sequel Will Not Be Purely Open-World; Game Director Tease More Female Character Roles, Pre-Beta Version On The PC!

"Final Fantasy XV" will feature more roles for female characters, pre-beta version available in the PC and the sequel not purely an open-world game.

Game director Hajime Tabata revealed new details on the role of women in "Final Fantasy XV" as he stated that women in the sequel will have a more important role than just a mere love interest and could possibly be an antagonist within the game. Alhough Tabata remain vague on the having more female characters in the game at this time, he cited Cindy will be the most essential part of Noctis' gang.

Cindy in "Final Fantasy XV" will serve as the mechanic for the groups car, Regalia as she will constantly repair and upgrade the cars stats for even greated journey as Tabata commented that having Cindy in the game is what makes the entire journey possible, Gamerant reported.

"Final Fantasy XV" was heavily criticized by gaming fans for its lack of female characters as the game's main characters include an all-male group comparing it to a boyband. Tabata once stated that female characters in the group could be temporary party members, but he has not been talking about it in recent interviews. With the roles of the female characters in expanded, Square Enix will be busy in making the game more interesting before its intended launch date this year. It is also rumored that Tabata could be bringing back former "FFXV" female lead Stella in the game as Square Enix felt that she needed some changes and must be handle delicately.

Aside from the female characters expanded roles, "Final Fantasy XV" will not be purely an open-world video game as Tabata clarified some aspects of the game regarding the use of the term "open-world". Tabata told Examiner that the game will combine elements of linear storyline with an open-world aspect.

As the gamers progress throughout the game, they will discover new regions which makes the journey and move forward and they will quickly see the character's growth with each passing moment. Tabata explained that the story will depend on how they player's handle each scenario, it will not be purely a 100 percent open-world, but it’s also not a pull along the rails kind of story. It is said that the linear story of the game is inspired by Naughty Dog's award winning game, "The Last of Us".

Lastly, the pre-beta version of "Final Fantasy XV" is rumored to be playable in the PC version as Niche Games writer Chris Gregoria that pre-beta was first tested out in the PC. Square Enix stated that the pre-beta version of the game can already playable for gamers as game designer Satoshi Kitade is working on polishing its content, adding more quality and testing out new elements for the consoles.

Several gaming fans already petitioned a PC version for "Final Fantasy XV" via Change.org and Square Enix might be thinking about putting the sequel to the platform soon.

Square Enix will launching a new Active Time Report for "FFXV" this month and will be presenting a special event for the game in March hoping for a launch date announcement. Tabata assured fans that "Final Fantasy XV" will be out in this year.

"Final Fantasy XV" will launch sometime in 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
