World War 3 scenario speculates the use of nuclear weapons by conflicting states. However, future weapons that are being developed right now could also make its entrance in the potential a global war.

It has been said that never has world been much closer to a nuclear war than it is today. With the rising tension between superpowers, the necessity of futuristic weapons to ensure victory has become more essential.

As of the current writing, experts in Scotland are working on an advanced camouflage technology by means of Metalflex. Such material is said to make its user appear to be invisible. Once finished, this advancement could potentially be used for defense by army men in a potential global conflict.

When you speak about futuristic weapons, laser weapons will always be included on the list. The Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) could use a High Energy Liquid Laser Area Defense System in a World War 3 scenario. Once finished, this laser weapon will be fitted on board of a tactical aircraft without affecting mission performance.

Another highly anticipated weapon for future warfare would be automated killer robots. Such technology is being developed by South Korea's Samsung. A prototype has already been tested, resulting for the United Nations to call for a moratorium on lethal autonomous robotics, according to Curious Matic.

Imagination seemed to be the limit of these futuristic weapons, which is expected to take center stage in the coming years. Although the main agenda is for defense and protection of life and liberty, it cannot be helped to imagine its possible destruction.

While there is no certainty of a World War 3, much more of a nuclear war, the current situation and relation between superpowers somehow oppose such view. If conflicts will continue, it would not then be impossible to see such weapons on the battlefield.
