The latest updates for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature the teaser and release date for Episode Ignis and will there be more DLC episodes after it.

It seems that the teaser for "Final Fantasy XV's" third DLC story "Episode Ignis" has been revealed just in time for Episode Prompto's release this week. The teaser features Ignis being pinned down by Nifheim soldiers on an unknown area, as the game's main antagonist Ardyn Izunia looks at him with glee.

Ignis looks on in both horror and concern as the screen fades with a "12/2017" date, possible the episode's release date in "Final Fantasy XV."

Some gaming fans are disappointed about the release date, since Episode Ignis was originally scheduled for early fall in "Final Fantasy XV," but the delay should be expected considering the timeline for the rest of the DLC content. The episode will be available for purchase as a standalone product or as a part of the sequel's season pass, Gamerant reported.

While details for Episode Ignis are still unknown, his DLC story is said to be more tactical in terms of gameplay unlike the more action-packed features in Gladiolus and Prompto. Episode Ignis is also hinted to be the possible last DLC for "Final Fantasy XV" due to the significant impact it may have on the story and needs time to create a solid experience, saving the very best for last.

However, Square Enix will continue to hint and possibly make new DLCs for "Final Fantasy XV" beyond the three character episodes. It was during the game's previous DLC update that gamers come across a survey from the Japanese publisher, asking them what content they would want to explore in the game in the future.

The "Final Fantasy XV" survey include several options for possible storylines such as Ardyn Izunia's past, Luna's activities, Cor's activities, the line of Lucis, Ifrit's betrayal, the World in Ruins and Noctis' disappearance. The survey also asked gaming fans if they want Cor, Aranea, Iris, Luna and Gentiana as playable characters, a hard mode and upgrades on Armigar abilities and stat changing Magics, ShackNews reported.

DLC producer Haruyoshi Sawatari stated that this year is all about giving back to the gaming fans, who have played and supported "Final Fantasy XV"; so if they were to continue the DLC, they would probably see what their feedback is on the content.

Game director Hajime Tabata teased the idea of having Ardyn Izunia's past explored due to the character's popularity in the sequel. In addition, Sawatari once mentioned the possibility of Luna being a playable character in "Final Fantasy XV" if the fans demanded it.

Square Enix is also teasing something new for "Final Fantasy XV" at Gamescom 2017 either new information for Episode Ignis or a PC version's debut.

"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
