The latest details for "Metal Gear Survive' will feature a single player mode and will the spin-off save the Konami and the "Metal Gear" game series.

Konami confirmed that "Metal Gear Survive" will feature a "dense" single player mode and also showcased multiplayer cooperative modes during E3 2017 last week.

Both modes tie together in that actions completed during multiplayer missions will reward additional resources, which can be used by players when they return to the single player campaign. Additional information and details on "Metal Gear Survive's" single player portion will be coming at a later date.

The first gameplay for "Metal Gear Survive" was showcased last year, as players who had a chance to play it will have to work together with other players online to fend of zombies and defend their outpost. During gameplay, players earn points for completing actions and performing well, which in turn earns more loot that can be then brought back to the single player experience. When the mission comes to an end, players earn tiered loot of various rarity based on a number of factors such as the level that is being played, Gamerant reported.

While the news of the single player mode attracted the interest of gamers, Konami will still have a tough time promoting "Metal Gear Survive" to the public as Konami tries to prove that the "Metal Gear" series can still be as good as ever, without the help or involvement of creator Hideo Kojima after his depature from the company.

The biggest challenged for Konami is the players who are hardcore Kojima fans, refusing to purchase "Metal Gear Survive" after the two had a falling out during "Metal Gear Solid 5" The Phantom Pain's" development, Bleeding Cool reported.

Not to mention, that Konami recently revealed that "Metal Gear Survive" will be delayed from its release date. Konami stated that reason for the delay is that they wanted to polish the game and it will launch on early 2018.

Konami added that "Metal Gear Survive" will still have stealth based gameplay. Konami USA’s community manager Robert Allan Peer stated many people were upset about "Metal Gear Survive" and urge everyone to keep an open mind about its development.

"Metal Gear Survive" will launch sometime in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
