Meizu had unveiled the Meizu E2 smartphone in April. Now, the company started the sales of a special edition version of the smartphone called Meizu E2 Transformers Edition.

The Meizu E2 Transformers Edition appears slightly different from the regular Meizu E2 as it features a matte black finish and it has a Autobot logo on the rear panel with "Transformers" text. About the logo is the Meizu branding. The front panel of the phone appears similar to the regular Meizu E2. After turning on the device, the phone presents the user with a custom theme which brings a black and blue interface to the phone, Major Droid reported. The specifications of the phone is same as what's present on the original Meizu M2.

The Meizu E2 phone sports a 5.5-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It is equipped with MediaTek Helio P20 SoC. The smartphone comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage. The smartphone is loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. However, the Meizu E2 Transformers Edition is running on Yun OS.

It features 4-LED dual-tone flash located next to a 13-megapixel rear camera and it sports an 8-megapixel front shooter. The Meizu E2 includes has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the physical Home button.

The phone is equipped with a 3,400 mAh capacity battery. It supports the usual connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and dual SIM. The regular Meizu E2 comes in three color variants of Black, Moonlight Silver and Champagne Gold.

The regular Meizu E2 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage is priced at 1,299 Yuan ($188). Its other model featuring 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage costs 1,599 Yuan ($232), Gizbot reported. The Meizu E2 Transformers Edition is carrying a price tag of 1,799 Yuan ($250).
