"FIFA 18" is one the highly anticipated games that will be available on Nintendo Switch later this year. However, the Switch version's graphics and other features are inferior to Xbox One, PS4, and PC editions.

Unlike the full version of "FIFA 18" that will run on the latest Frostbite engine, the Switch version is developed on a different engine. As a result, there will be some major and minor discrepancies that players will notice when compared to the flagship editions, a report by football website Goal noted.

"FIFA 18" is the latest iteration of the upcoming soccer video game series from EA can be played at home or on the go and can run at 60 fps for both on the home console and the handheld. It features a 'Joy-Con' controller that can be attached into each side of the handheld to transform it into a handheld console.

The resolution will run at 1080p when docked, which means this is the resolution that can be seen on television. When it is detached can used as a handheld table, its LCD will only display 720p. (Full details about Nintendo Switch can be viewed at its official website.)

The Switch edition of "FIFA 18" is somehow inferior to the Xbox One, PS4 or PC version because it is not as powerful a system, particularly with the graphics such as the grass and the crowds. While the Ultimate Team can also be played on the Switch, The Journey will not since this mode is developed in Frostbite.

But fans should not worry because it is not a "watered-down" version of the game. Taking producer Andrei Lazarescu word who told Eurogamer, "it's a portable FIFA...and it's the best portable FIFA we ever did."

The Switch is the latest console from Nintendo, which is a hybrid of a portable and home console. It is designed primarily as a home console, with the main unit attached to a docking station that is connected to a television. The main unit is like a detachable tablet which can also be removed and can be used on the go.

"FIFA 18"will be released to Nintendo Switch on September 29, and also on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is priced at £54.99 or around $70, the same price with the standard edition.
