Asus had introduced the ZenFone AR phone during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 that was held in January this year. Since then there was no news about the when the smartphone will go on sale. However, the smartphone has been finally made available with (~$825) pricing, Gizmo China reported..

The ZenFone AR has a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with quad HD resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 821 SoC. Besides the 8 GB RAM variant, it will be also available in a basic version that features 6 GB of RAM. The phone offers two storage options of a 64 GB and a 128 GB.

The smartphone sports three cameras that will help in creating indoor 3D mapping through Google Tangeo AR. It features 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensors and other cameras for motion tracking and depth sensing. Its front camera features an 8-megapixel that includes dual-LED flash

The Asus ZenFone AR is loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen Ui 3.0 on its top. It has fingerprint sensor and also features a USB Type-C port. The phone is equipped with a 3,300 mAh battery that support quick charge. It also includes support for Google's Daydream VR.

The company's CEO Jerry Shen stated that the smartphone will be priced less than the Galaxy S8, Gizbot reported. The pricing of the phone suggests that Shen has managed to keep his promise. The phone is expected to be available in the U.S. by July. More information on the U.S. variant is expected to surface in the coming weeks.
