Ubisoft has teased what fans can expect from "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" ahead of its release on Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC on October 17. But while the developer mentioned that the "South Park" creators write what's funny and relevant for the game, it tosses a possibility of censorship in Europe.

In his interview with Xbox Achievements, Director of Design at Ubisoft San Francisco Paul Cross said that "South Park" creators Trey Park and Matt Stone will write the game' story based on what they see as funny and relevant. But Cross added to say that Ubisoft can't make a promise that "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" will not face any censorship issue.

The possibility of "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" getting censored will likely occur in parts of the European market, similar to what happened in "South Park: The Stick of Truth:" But the design director reassured that despite that Ubisoft is encouraging the team to exclude things that might cause a ban in some markets, the game will feature a story that is according to the wishes of Parker and Stone.

"Matt and Trey, the way they work is that they're not going to be censored, they don't want to be censored. They are going to write what they think is funny and relevant, and tells the story that they want to tell," Cross said.

It can be recalled that "South Park: The Stick of Truth" had to go through an issue of censorship. Some of its content were deleted in its release to regions of Europe and in Australia.

Meanwhile, fans should tune in to the livestream of Ubisoft's press conference at E3 slated to happen on June 12. "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" is confirmed to be part of the developer's game lineup at the annual trade expo before it is launched on PS4, Windows PC, and Xbox One on October 17.
