‘Alien Megastructure’ On The Move Again! Are Aliens Getting More Aggressive? Here’s Everything You Have To Know

A star 1300 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus have recently left a number of scientists and alien enthusiasts baffled as it has allegedly kicked into gear for the second time. Considered as the strangest star in the universe, KIC 8462852 or "Tabby's star" was said to have dimmed like this several times before. In turn, the celestial phenomenon has led experts to think that the megastructures of an advanced alien civilization might be blocking its light.

Debunking The Tabby's star

The Tabby's star was first noticed to be dipping in brightness at seemingly random intervals between 2011 and 2013 by the NASA Kepler telescope. Even so, the KIC 8462852 or "Tabby's star" has long been noted to be much more erratic as compared to a typical planetary transit. The team that made this discovery, led by Yale University astronomer Tabetha Boyajian suggested a variety of explanations for its strange behavior. However, KIC 8462852 hit the headlines when Jason Wright, from Pennsylvania State University in State College, together with his colleagues has claimed that the star would be a good candidate to search for evidences built by alien life.

Signs of Alien Aggression?

Meanwhile, it can be recalled that the patterns created in 2015 are what have prompted one scientist to offer up the possibility that an "alien megastructure" such as a Dyson Sphere has been messing with its emissions. However, Wright has explained that despite the claims of an extraterrestrial activity, aliens should always be the very last hypothesis one must consider. That said, as the star started dimming again by 3 percent in just a few days, Wright said that it's unlikely that the mystery of KIC 8462852 will be solved immediately.

Now that astronomers from all over the world are already working on the case, Wright believes that they're on a better place to figure out what's behind these unexplained light patterns. Furthermore, while the Dyson Sphere idea may appear to be a valid one, scientists are hoping that there would still be a natural explanation.
