New updates for "Devil May Cry 5" will feature a possible release this year and Capcom no working on "DmC: Devil May Cry 2."

It seems that Capcom will release two major video game titles this year with "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" on September and the other a possible “major brand” in the company.

While the second major game titel is unknown, many gamers theorized that it could be the rumored "Devil May Cry 5" from Capcom due leaked slides from an investor presentation citing the existence of the mysterious project. "Devil May Cry" game series director Hideaki Itsuno tweeted  last year that he will be working on a new video game title in 2017.

While it remains to be seen what Itsuno's new video game project could be "Devil May Cry 5," it is not out of the realm of possibilities since its has been a long time since Capcom made a sequel of "Devil May Cry" following Ninja Theory's version of the series, "DmC: Devil May Cry."

Ninja Theory downplayed the idea of "DmC: Devil May Cry 2" in the future stating that Capcom owns the IP in the first place, not to mention that the reboot never achieved the same status as the original series.

In order to kick off a project like that, Capcom would need to green light the project. Considering that "DmC" was a fan favorite, but not very profitable, the chances appear slim for a sequel, Gamerant reported.

For now, Capcom mentioned that they want to expand their consumer business by regularly launching major titles in the global market, and by strengthening downloads such as full-games, additional contents, and catalog titles.

The Japanese Publisher also want to "bolster" lineup of current-generation console re-releases, promote multiplatform development, which include the Nintendo Switch, and explore leading-edge markets, such as eSports with "Street Fighter 5,” PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

Capcom is currently busy making post-launch contents for "Street Fighter 5" and "Resident Evil 7," not mention developing "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" until its launch on Sept. 19 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.

Gaming fans will likely wait for more updates on "Devil May Cry 5" soon.
