Apple will announce new versions of MacBook Pro and MacBook at its upcoming WWDC

If reports are anything to go by, the tech giant Apple will announce new versions of MacBook Pro and MacBook at its upcoming WWDC.

The event will reportedly take place in June this year.

Also, if rumors are to be believed, the Cupertino-based company will update the affordable MacBook Air. Back in October, the MacBook Pro was updated  with a Touch Bar and a thinner design. According to reports, the device will be refreshed with a faster Kaby Lake chipset.

The MacBook Pro will look the same as the present model and will adopt internal updates only. The software company has reportedly been working on a custom-designed ARM chip. The chip could handle low power features in the device; however, it may not be ready for the MacBook Pro refresh.

The MacBook was updated in April 2016 and it will also get an updated processor. The MacBook Air has not been updated since March of 2015, The Verge reported. The company has been phasing the MacBook Air out in favor of the MacBook Pro and the MacBook. Both devices are slimmer than the Air model.

However, according to a Bloomberg report, Cupertino-based giant Apple is thinking about refreshing the device with an updated processor. It will mean that the MacBook Air can stick around for another few years as a low-cost option. Due to its affordability, sales of the MacBook Air stay strong.

It is likely that the new notebooks will be announced at the company's June 5 keynote. Furthermore, speculations are doing the rounds that the company could introduce 10.5-inch iPad Pro and a new Siri speaker at the event.

Reports claim that the upcoming iPad Pro will sport a bigger display and will have a form factor identical to the company's 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

Rumor has it that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will be powered by a A10x processor. The device is rumored to have a stationary home button. Also, the updated iMacs are in the works; however, it is not known when the devices will debut.
