New MacBooks will be seen at the 2017 edition of Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), supposedly headlined by a refreshed MacBook Pro with the latest Intel processor, specifically a faster Kaby Lake chip. Also to be introduced are upgrades for the 12-inch MacBook and the MacBook Air.

On June 5, Apple will unveil the 2017 sequel to the 12-inch MacBook and as expected the MacOS ultraportable will get a processor bump, which Intel will provide, 9to5Mac reported, citing an exclusive news story published by Bloomberg.

The 13-inch MacBook Air will likewise be bumped up with a faster processing chip. According to iDownloadBlog.com, Apple is likely to update its cheapest laptop as sales performance of the line remains "surprisingly strong." The hardware though is not expected to get cosmetic enhancements if only to keep the sticker price buyer-friendly.

But what could prove as the highlight of the fresh notebook introductions is the MacBook Pro, which essentially will mirror the 2016 version, externally. Per iDB, the internal revisions could include ARM-based chips for a more efficient power usage but nothing is confirmed on this respect.

More likely is the use of Intel's enhanced processing chip, specifically the Kaby Lake-X CPU that is set to hit the market soon. This specs bump is seen to make the MacBook Pro faster than ever, more so with the help of a new MacOS version that is slated to move up to 10.13

The MacBook Pro specs bump could also deliver maximum RAM provision of 32GB, 9to5Mac said, indicating that Apple intends to double the installed RAM seen with the 2016 edition. The report likewise said the RAM upgrade was recently predicted by analyst Ming-chi Kuo, who is known for his mostly accurate forecasts on upcoming Apple products and services.

There was no mention in the report of the modular Mac Pro and the iMac upgrades that Apple has already acknowledged will arrive this 2017 but with no confirmed release date. The rumored sneak peek for the iPhone 8 release was not discussed as well.

However, the same WWDC 2017 event will likely mark the unveiling of the Siri Smart Speaker with touchscreen panel and the 10.5-inch iPad Pro that will have the same build profile as that of the 9.7-inch iPad due to an all-screen front panel, 9to5Mac said on its report.
