Recent reports have revealed of the current move that Niantec has implemented for its "Pokémon Go" gamers. According to reports, Niantec wants adventurers to journey back in time and discover a priceless piece of history, such as the fossils.

Polygon reports that A new special event begins for "Pokémon Go" this week, and it's all about the rock-type Pokémon. "Adventure Week," as developer Niantic has dubbed the campaign, encourages players to get outdoors and start digging around for Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl and other uncommon, fossil-based monsters.

These Pokémon, along with the non-fossilized Onix and Sudowoodo, will be more common than usual throughout the week and the entire event runs from May 18 at 1 p.m. PT until May 25 at 1 p.m. PT, giving players the full seven days to fill out their rock-type collections, reports the same post.

Moreover, the PokéStops will also provide items and things that could help out "Pokémon Go" players. Additional reports relayed that it is the latest in-game event for "Pokemon Go." For this event, a lot of things are expected to occur and new hurdles are fated to provide difficulties for the players.

Pokemon Go was released in July 2016 and became a huge hit right away. While its popularity may have dipped, it brought in enough money in 2016 to support developer Niantic possibly forever, as noted by the same post.
