Recent reports indicate how Bill Gates' tech company aims at dominating the tech industry with the specs and features of their products and software flagships. Reports of the Microsoft Windows 10 defending itself as a friendly software is on the rise.

Business Insider reports how the long-time Microsoft Windows engineering leader Joe Belfiore took a sabbatical so he could spend the better part of a year to sail the world with his family in the Semester at Sea educational cruise program and upon his return, Belfiore officially stepped back into the job in April 2017, taking the new title Corporate VP of Windows, and adding new responsibilities as an advisor to the education business.

His is absence was keenly felt. As a 27-year veteran of the company, Belfiore is the face of Microsoft to many of the developers and partners building on the tech titan's platforms. He oversees everything from the Microsoft Edge browser to the design and user experience of Windows 10 and Microsoft's struggling Windows phones, reports the same post.

Belfiore said, "We're going to continue to support Windows Phone, but Windows is opening up its borders a little bit, in recognition of the realities that people are using multiple devices running on a variety of operating systems."

On a different note, Yahoo relayed that Microsoft is planning on integrating the VR to the masses. The report mentioned that Microsoft (MSFT) wants to bring virtual reality to the masses. At least that's the big takeaway from the company's Build developers conference in Seattle this week.

Microsoft's Hololens, announced that the first headset running the company's mixed reality software, Windows Holographic for Windows 10, will go on sale with two motion controllers for just $399 this holiday season." data-reactid="28">That's where Alex Kipman, the creator behind Microsoft's Hololens, announced that the first headset running the company's mixed reality software, Windows Holographic for Windows 10, will go on sale with two motion controllers for just $399 this holiday season, as noted by the same report.

For the tech enthusiasts, the Apple and other powered devices are among the gears that could use Microsoft Windows 10 and unless it proves itself friendly and competent, the battle continues to soar.
