Asus Zenfone Zoom S has been launched recently in the Asian market. The latest Asus phone has been highly associated with the previously released Zenfone 3 Zoom.

The recent Asus smartphone has been spotted exclusively on the Thai version of the company's website, according to GSM Arena. Based on the information obtained, the Zenfone Zoom S appears to be renamed version of the Zenfone 3 Zoom.

The listing on the said site showcased the same model number that of the Zenfone 3 Zoom. Therefore suggesting that that newly introduced variant is renamed for the Asian market, including Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia.

In terms of specs, the previously rumored 5.2" screen display of the said device has been proven wrong. Based on the listing, the official screen size of the device is similar to that of the 5.5" display of the Zenfone 3 Zoom.

As for the exact launch date of the device, the company intends to launch the Zoom S in Indonesia on May 16, according to BGR. For the other Asian countries, details for its release is yet to be announced.

Concerning Asus Zenfone Zoom S specs and features, it is expected that similar to the Zenfone 3 Zoom, its key feature would be in its image capturing capability. The renamed version will also boast a powerful dual-rear camera setup, a pair of 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensors with f/1.7 lenses.

It can be remembered that this particular Asus smartphone is intended to rival the capturing capacity of an iPhone's camera. The company wanted to offer a comparable camera experience to that of an iPhone in a less expensive manner.

It is also believed that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with the usual 4GB of RAM. To power the user experience, a 5,000mAh battery is housed within the device with reverse charging support.
