The latest details on the rumored "Devil May Cry 5" will feature an announcement of the sequel this year and "DmC: Devil May Cy 2's" development cancelled.

Capcom teased a major unannounced video game title by the end of the fiscal year as a leaked slides from an investor presentation confirmed the existence of the mysterious project, sending the internet and gaming fans into a frenzy of speculation regarding it.

Two other video games in the slides were revealed to be "Resident Evil 7" and the upcoming "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" fighting game launching on Sept. 19 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms. One possible video game title that gaming fans want to see is the main "Devil May Cry" series, specifically the long rumored "Devil May Cry 5."

"Devil May Cry" game series director Hideaki Itsuno tweeted  last year that he will be working on a new video game title in 2017. While it remains to be seen what Itsuno's new video game project will be, gaming fans theorized that it could be "Devil May Cry 5."

Itsuno is known to produce several of Capcom video game titles such as "Dragons Dogma", "Rival Schools", "Power Stones" and the original "Devil May Cry" game franchise.

Another possible clue for "DMC's" return is that voice actor Johnny Young Bosh posted a photo on his Facebook featuring him and "Devil May Cry" voice actor Ruben Langdon with headsets and motion capture suits.

The photo was eventually removed from his Facebook page, but for those who have seen begun speculatng "Devil May Cry 5" could be in the works soon, Gameranx reported.

Bosh voiced "Devil May Cry 4's" new hero Nero, while Langdon provided the voice of the series main protagonist , Dante from "Devil May Cry 3", "Devil May Cry 4" and the "Devil May Cry" anime series.

Other speculations suggest that the new video game title could be a sequel to Ninja Theory's reboot on the "Devil May Cry" series, "DmC: Devil May Cry." However, the developers downplayed the idea of "DmC: Devil May Cry 2" in the future stating that Capcom owns the IP in the first place, not to mention that the reboot never achieved the same status as the original series. With that in mind, gaming fans could be seeing "Devil May Cry 5" in the future. For now, Capcom is currently busy promoting their post-launch plans for "Resident Evil 7" and "Street Fighter 5," while they are currently developing "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" and the rumored "Resident Evil 2" remake.
