Recent updates suggest that new Intel Basin Falls platform chips will be released ahead of schedule. The news for early release has been associated with the increasing popularity of AMD Ryzen.

The more dominant Intel is said to be hurting badly right now because of the current interest being given by PC user to the Ryzen processors. With the hopes to stop the market craze for Ryzen CPU, the company plans to show off its new Basin Falls chips two months ahead of the supposed schedule, according to ValueWalk.

Having the PC vendors in Taiwan as the main source of the release schedule, it was revealed that between May 30 and June 3, Intel would showcase Basin Falls platform chips which will include the Skylake-X, Kaby Lake-X and X299 chipsets.

The given dates somehow suggest that Intel may introduce their latest chipset either at the annual Computex trade show in Taipei or the E3 gaming show in Los Angeles. Regardless the final choice, either of the two events would be a perfect avenue to draw attention.

The move of Intel to reschedule their release of the latest Intel Basin Falls platform chips has been interpreted by many as their response to AMD's current highest-end CPU, the octa-core Ryzen R7 1800X. The Ryzen 7 has been deemed as a decent substitute for the much expensive Broadwell-E.

Apart from the said releases in May or June, it is also being rumored that Intel could bring out its desktop Coffee Lake CPUs under the 8th Generation Core brand, according to The Kashmir Monitor. Such device will be produced on the 14nm process, becoming the fourth 14nm generation.

Another potential marketing ploy being anticipated is the adding of core counts for the first time since the Core i series has been debuted. This would mean that Intel will have to reconfigure its Core i3, i5, and i7 product tiers to make it more appealing to computer enthusiasts.
