First, have one minute to spare to simply breath. Just place your hand an inch in the upper part of your belly button. Inhale on the count of four, and the belly button will expand about an inch. This kind of breathing stimulates the diaphragm in going deeper into the abdomen through the inhalation process, and it also squeezes the lungs while strengthening the heart on exhalation.

Eating chocolate is another example in alleviating stress. According to the study, those who are consuming 1.4 ounces of chocolates every day within two weeks have reduced their stress hormones such as cortisol.
