Fans will likely see better features and improvements for "Assassin's Creed Empire" pegged for release in 2017. But game enthusiasts also see a possible return of some good old features in the franchise's upcoming installment.

"Assassin's Creed Empire" is undoubtedly underway and must have reached some development stages after Ubisoft skipped 2016 for an AC title release. But there are not much details to hold on to at this point except for interesting leaks from prolific leak sources in the gaming industry or from a company insider.

Perhaps, everyone's best guess to hear about its gameplay is at E3 2017 in June. Ubisoft could already be brewing a tasteful teaser for "Assassin's Creed Empire" at the annually celebrated event this year.

But while waiting for this day to come, here is worth a look at some of the highly speculated new features and old ones that might return in the next title.

Ancient Egypt Setting

It has been consistently rumored that the new entry to the franchise will be set in Ancient Egyptian setting, according to a source said to have connection inside Ubisoft. If it is to be believed, players will be transported back to time of pharaohs, pyramids, tombs and so on.

A New Trilogy

Speculations also fly high that Ubisoft will possibly start an all new trilogy that will star one main character like Ezio in the first AC trilogy. The game will reportedly feature an ancestor of Alistair as the lead character and it likely span across three locations such as Egypt, Greece and Rome.

Return of Massive Caverns

While fans will be seeing mostly new features and improvements to bring something fresh to the franchise, it is also possible that some notable old features will return like massive caverns to climb and explore, Blasting News wrote.

The tombs and cavernous structures that kept the seals and ultimate armor for Ezio was very popular in "Assassin's Creed II". It is not a far-fetched idea for players to have that same fun adventure in "Assassin's Creed Empire".

"Assassin's Creed Empire" will be released as the next main entry to the AC franchise set for a possible release in late 2017. It succeeds "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" that was launched back in October 2015 on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC.
