The Galaxy Note 8 is packed with most of the specs and features that the Galaxy S8 combo will deliver and more, as expected. But the Note 8 will have a camera setup that will overwhelm both the GS8 and Apple's iPhone 7 series, a new report said.

The Note 8 will mirror the best things about the Galaxy S8, including the latter's stunning Infinity Display, but one thing that will be unique with the upcoming phablet is a monster camera setting that the GS8 lacks. The Galaxy Note 8 when unpacked will boast of a dual-camera that will serve as the device's "most important upgrade," KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo said in a new research note.

According to 9to5Google, which picked up the Kuo report, the Note 8's dual camera will consist of 12MP wide-angle CIS supporting dual photodiode (2PD) and 13MP telephoto CIS, dual 6P lenses and dual OIS with 3X optical zoom.

With the shooting prowess, Kuo predicted that the Note 8 stands to outshoot its rivals, chiefly the iPhone 7 and Samsung's own Galaxy S8. The analyst said only one device is seen to match the camera capabilities that will be bestowed on the Note 8 and it will not materialize until the closing months of 2017.

Kuo is convinced the only camera match for the Note 8 is the iPhone 8 that Apple is set to release in the last quarter of the year.

The KGI report did not include other possible specs and feature upgrades for the Note 8 but speculations are rife the phablet flagship will be the Galaxy S8 Plus in steroid but with an S Pen, which is Samsung's proprietary stylus.

And Kuo is projecting that the Galaxy Note 8 will sell to Samsung's expectations that by the close of 2017 up to 15 million units would be cleared out.

Samsung Mobile will likewise make history for fiscal 2017 as the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will post combined sales of up to 55 million units at the end of the year, Kuo said on his note.
