The schedule report has lots of details including extensive patch notes and the timeline for everything going forward. However, there is a warning for fans - the schedule is basically the same document goes around internally between the developers.

This means that the release date is just an estimate.  If ever something needs to be held back for a while, then the release date will be pushed again to another day.

If the update will be released right on schedule, the addition of this new Planetary Tech will expand what the players can do in the game. The 3.0 Alpha update will also give players of "Star Citizen" a glimpse of the planetary exploration that the developer is currently working on.

The report is so extensive that a Kotaku reporter complained about getting exhausted just by hearing the words "Star Citizen".  With the post containing around 4,000 words, it basically outlines everything that will be coming with 3.0 Alpha update.

The details range from the big stuff such as the explorable moons all the way down to the tiny things like adding VFX and Turbulence to atmospheric entry. The full notes on Robert Space Industries' Production Schedule Report are available on its official page.

Following the game's 3.0 update, Robert Space Industries have plans on implementing further changes in 3.1 and 3.2 updates. These will include new ships, changes to the FPS module, a ship to ship and a criminal mechanic.

"Star Citizen" is an upcoming multiplayer, space trading and combat developed PC and Linux. It is said to be the most ambitious game ever made.
