With the rapid increase in the demand of Google Chromebooks, a Microsoft CloudBook may soon be introduced by the tech giant. The upcoming device is said to be more robust than the Surface Book.

It has been anticipated by experts that Microsoft will unveil a sub-premium laptop to combat the popularity of the Chromebooks in the market. One of the possible distinct features of the device would be its Windows 10 Cloud operating system, according to Venture Beat.

The idea behind the device is security. It is considered to be more secured than other laptops. The operating system of the CloudBook will accordingly follow the current Windows 10, but with broader options.

The possibility of the production of a sub-premium laptop by Microsoft may be rooted in the company's interest in coming back to a "first-party-but-lower-cost hardware strategy." Therefore, bringing a more affordable product to the market, but with interesting features.

As of the current writing, Google's Chromebook has seen major updates. Google has managed to bring the Android fever to their Chromebook, making it more flexible than ever.

Other updates to the device also included convertibility and detachability. This means that Chromebook has become more flexible with their unique keyboard options.

Although there is still no final confirmation for the said device, it is expected that slight similarities to the Chromebook would be noticeable. Such similarities would mainly involve the functionality of the device.

The Microsoft CloudBook, although expected to run the latest variant of the Windows 10, will have a similar function of the Chrome OS. The capacity of being able to sign-in on any devices and search all of the files and apps is already being performed by Google Chrome, according to Geo TV.

As for its price, it is expected that Microsoft would be more competitive this time. Results from the unique pricing of their Surface products might have taught the company better lessons. And this is likely true if they would want to compete with the relatively cheap Chromebooks.
