While Rockstar Games has been generous in providing more support for "GTA 5 Online" until this year, speculations about "Grand Theft Auto 6" has never stopped to swirl online. That includes potential locations that fan might see in the series' next entry, "GTA 6".

Rockstar Games President Leslie Benzies confirmed not long ago that the sixth title is in fact in development, perhaps, in early phase of production. He said in his interview that he doesn't know what the next "GTA 6" will be but the studio already has several ideas for it.

Since then, theories and rumors have been widespread, especially on where the next setting is for "Grand Theft Auto 6". Game analysts have top three locations in mind - the entire US map, London and Vice City.

Entire US Setting

Rumors have it that the map for "GTA 6" will be remarkably massive and it is not just massive city-wise, Tech Radar reported. It will possibly span the whole United States. What sounds more interesting is the addition of teleportation system that will hasten the travel from one city to the next.

In addition, there are some claims that the upcoming GTA game will be set in the 70s. So, it could be time for players to don their classic '70s outfits and what not.

London Setting

It is also deemed plausible that Rockstar Games will revisit its British roots and feature the London setting for the game. This speculation reportedly surfaced when Co-founder Dan Houser talked about GTA's DNA being contemporary-ish, American-ish, English-speaking-ish and sources said that London could only be the possible setting for "GTA 6" that is outside of the US.

Vice City

On the other hand, fans might see Vice City as another viable option as the game's next location. It would fit perfectly with the rumored 70s setting.

Fans can recall that the "GTA 3" trilogy featured three locations, namely Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas and same is true for the first GTA title.

The "GTA 4" and "GTA 5" were subsequently in Liberty City and San Andreas respectively. So, the developer can possibly explore Vice City as the location for  "GTA 6".

Possible Release Date

Recent reports say that it will take a while for fans to get their hands on "GTA 5" follow-up. Rockstar Games is quite tied up to the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in fall.

Everyone's best guess is that "GTA 6" will be released in 2020 and that it might be available for next gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Two. Note, however, that Rockstar Games has yet to announce official details on the next installment of the GTA franchise.
