Many comic book and gaming fans believed that the new "Spider-Man" game has some connection to "The Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows" comic story were in Peter Parker is married to Mary Jane Watson and had a daughter named Annie Parker, who like her dad has spider-like powers.

While the plot of the game seems relevant to some at first, Insomniac Games responded to the rumored plot details of "Spider-Man" and tweeted that the IMDB page is like "Wikipedia" as anyone can add something into it, and gamers will here the plot of the game from developers themselves, thus hinting that the plot could be fake.

Despite the questionable plot details, it is still a possibility that Green Goblin could be part of the game as Oscorp was spotted in the first "Spider-Man" PS4 trailer back in E3 2016.

Other Spidey characters that gaming and comic book fans want to see in the "Spider-Man" PS4 game include Spot, Mister Negative, The Tinkerer, Alistair Smythe the Spider-Slayer, The Jackal, J. Jonah Jameson, Massacre, The Vulture and The Inheritors.

In other news, Insomniac Games made another clarification to "Spider-Man" PS4's release date as past reports claimed that the game could be out sometime this year.

However, Insomniac tweeted that their is no announcement of the release timeframe for "Spider-Man" PS4 meaning their is a chance that the Spidey game could or will not launch this year.

Marvel Digital Media vice president and executive editor Ryan Penagos stated that "Spider-Man" PS4 will launch within the year along with several Marvel Games, Polygon reported.

Marvel Games added that the video game titles they are making will not be tied to the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thus giving them total control of the story for each game.

Insomniac Games and Marvel has not yet announced a release date of "Spider-Man" for the PS4.
