2017 MacBook Launch Set in Q3? Speculated Variants Surface

Fresh rumors suggest that Apple may launch its new MacBooks in the third quarter of this year.

This year marks the 10th anniversary for Apple iPhone. Hence, there are a lot of expectations from the iPhone 8. Even though the iPhone 8 is expected to hog all the limelight this year, the company is also expected to launch new MacBooks this year.

Even though Apple announced MacBook Pro with Touch Bar last year, the company did not make any announcement on new MacBook or MacBook Air models. Hence, the company is speculated to launch new models for these notebooks this year.

The MacBook is expected to arrive in two storage variants. One of them is expected to be an entry-level variant with 8 GB of RAM whereas the other model is expected arrive with 16 GB of RAM. It is likely that the 12-inch MacBook variant may replace the MacBook Air series.

The MacBook models that are expected to launch later this year is speculated to be driven by Intel Kaby Lake chipset. In the previous month, Bloomberg had carried a report that sad the Cupertino tech giant is developing a new chipset that may power the upcoming MacBooks.

The new chip is reportedly codenamed as T310 that is expected to improve the battery performance of the upcoming MacBooks through a feature called "Power Nap." It is said to more powerful than Intel processor that are designed for low-end notebooks.  The 2017 MacBook launch is reportedly going to happen in the third quarter of 2017.

Apple is also rumored to be announce a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro model. The device is also pegged to unleashed either in June or September. The new tablet may arrive with the same form factor as 9.7-inch iPad Pro but house a 10.5-inch screen inside, The Verge reported. Hence, it may sport slimmer bezels. Also, a 7.9-inch iPad Mini Pro is also expected to replace iPad Mini.
