Jailbreak fans locked out of the following jailbreak tools - Luca Todesco's Yalu102/Yalu1011, Pangu and Home Depot - because they either opted to stay with iOS 9.3.5 or got stuck with the OS version could soon wiggle their way out of the predicament. A new report claims a workaround is currently in the works and could be released soon.

Independent iOS developers @alitek123 and @Thmitt, according to Redmond Pie, are putting together a downgrade solution that will allow users a possible return to iOS 9.3.3, coming from version 9.3.5. As the latter essentially prevents jailbreaking, going back to 9.3.3 provides the crack to a jailbreak.

When the tool from @alitek123 and @Thmitt becomes available, jailbreak fans can then pick between Pangu and Home Depot for the solution they prefer, taking note that both are semi-tethered and only for 32-bit devices. And Pangu only works fine with iOS 9.2 to 9.3.3 while Home Depot has a more expanded coverage, supporting iPhones and iPads that run iOS 9.1 to 9.3.4.

The same report also indicated that when the "re-store tool" is released, there will be specific limitations or requirements that users will need to take note. For one, the creators will only release on the Mac platform and it's unclear if PC users will get an access anytime soon.

And since the tool will lead to a jailbreak by way of a downgrade path, users will need saved blobs for the process to work. No blobs and the tool will be useless. The creators also made clear that the downgrade to iOS 9.3.3 will also for version 9.3.4. In fact, "the bug exists on any iOS 9.x version," Redmond Pie said on its report.

For sure, iOS 10.xx will not be covered in the same way that the downgrade solution is 32-bit exclusive, the report added.

As for the actual release date, the re-store tool authors refused to provide an ETA but hinted: "Expect something either at the end of this month or sometime in April."
