To recover customer base, its market and reputation, the Galaxy Note 8 may be launched in August ahead of the upcoming iPhone, instead of its traditional IFA trade show launch. Other reports say it will likely be released in March with the new Samsung Galaxy S8.

A lot of rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 are already circulating online but Samsung has not confirmed any of the speculated specs and features yet. It is speculated that Samsung may use the removable battery feature again as it needs to be extra cautious with its battery this time. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to feature a 4K SuperAMOLED display, either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 processor and 6 GB of RAM.

Other rumored specs include ARM Mali-G71 GPU, 3,500 mAh battery capacity, artificial intelligence capabilities and major improvements in storage and camera. It is expected to sport a rear dual camera with 16 MP and 8 MP sensors and an updated S pen. The Galaxy Note 8 may also come with a fingerprint scanner.

Other rumored specs include an advanced pressure-sensitive OLED touch display with 3D Touch feature and a removed Home button. It may come with extremely thin bezels and a wraparound display with free and open source OS named Lineage OS.

Wireless charging is also mentioned, along with personal assistant Bizby, C-shaped USB port, IP68 certification and an improved iris scanner. It may cost about 800 to 900 USD.

Samsung is said to build the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with amazing specs and features that focus on device safety and security. This is especially important after the company lost its customer trust and credibility from the Galaxy Note 7 debacle.

Samsung mobile chief D J Koh confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 will come out better, safer and more innovative. Samsung is reportedly using an 8 point battery testing procedure which includes visual inspection, durability test, charge, x-ray, and discharge test, TVOC, disassembling and accelerated usage test and OCV test. It is making sure that the Note 7 failure will not happen again in the future.
