Pokemon Go: Tips to Catch Houndour and Larvitar

Here are some tips to catch Houndour and Larvitar while playing "Pokemon Go." Houndour spawns at a greater frequency in desert biomes. Also, these are places where players will also find Growlithe, Meowth, Ekans, Rhyhorn, Geodude, Mankey and Chansey.

Therefore, gamers need to focus in on regions where they have captured those eight creatures if they are on the hunt for a Houndour. Furthermore, they can narrow down their search by locating a Houndour nest. These are places in the actual world where the Pokemon spawns at a high frequency, and if players visit one of these nests, there is a good chance they will walk away with the Pokemon.

Players can locate Houndour nests using The Silph Road's atlas map. On the map, players should click on the species tab at the top and after that check Houndour. Gamers will see a number of icons appear on the map.

They should click one of the icons to see more details about a nest, and after that go to that location in the actual world to capture the creature. It is important to note that the Pokemon does not hatch from any eggs, therefore, gamers will have to find the creature in the wild.

Tips to catch Larvitar

Larvitar is a dual-type ground/rock Pokemon and until now, the creature has been found in mountain biomes. Also, these mountain biomes are areas where Nidorans, Clefairys and Dragonites are often found. However, gamers have reported capturing Larvitar all over the place. But some gamers in mountain biomes have never found the ground/rock Pokemon even once.

According to some reports, Larvitar spawns at a greater rate in mountainous biomes, and in the same regions that Nidorans, Clefairys and Dragonites are normally found.  For gamers who reside in the proper biome, Larvitar spawns are uncommon, and a few players have never once seen the creature since the release of the second generation in February. Also, players may fare better with eggs.

Meanwhile, according to a CNET report, John Hanke, Niantic CEO, said that the "Pokemon Go" game will add more features later this year.
