It was found out that the main ingredient in chocolate, which is cocoa, can help boost alertness, but, its qualities are maximized when combined with caffeine. Meanwhile, when you drink pure caffeine, your concentration does not seem to be affected. If caffeine is combined with cocoa, you may become less angry after concentration tasks. Mocha coffee may help you become more focused.

Ali Boolani explained in a press release that caffeine could increase anxiety. On the other hand, cocoa can help increase the cerebral blood flow, which will result in increased attention and cognition. The study suggests that there is a good reason to order mocha lattes since cocoa found in it can lessen the anxiety caffeine can produce.

Mocha lattes can help drinkers improve their mood, attention, and motivation. According to MSN, the study was sponsored by one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in North America, the Hershey Company.

Chocolates are not just good for alertness and concentration, it may also prevent the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Although the reason is not yet clear, it was shown that the higher the chocolate intake, the lower the risk of such diseases. That may mean that if you drink mocha coffee, you will also be at lower risk of cardiovascular diseases.
