"We are writing to inform you that PlayStation®Store, including all services such as PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Now, and PlayStation Music, will start collecting tax in your state starting April 1, 2017. The sales tax charged on each order is determined by your state, county, and city tax rates," FragHero quoted PlayStation support team as saying.

Since the PlayStation Network sales tax will depend on the different state, county, and city tax rates, it is to be expected variations of price will be experienced by gamers depending on their state. This would mean that some PlayStation gamers will likely be paying for a more expensive online service than others.
