Although Tabata and Square Enix stated that they have no plans for a Nintendo Switch version for "Final Fantasy XV" anytime soon, it does not mean that the sequel will not work well with the console. Tabata explained that he and the development team must conduct proper testing to the game console in order to know if it will work on "Final Fantasy XV" or not.

Square Enix announced several titles planned for Nintendo Switch, which included "I Am Setsuna", a few "Dragon Quest" games and an entirely new RPG called "Project Octopath Traveler", which was teased during the Nintendo Switch Presentation in January.

Aside from the Nintendo Switch, Tabata also teased that "Final Fantasy XV" will feature a mutiplayer game mode in the game's future developement.

The possible multiplayer mode will be tied-in into "FFXV" main story mode at some point. In addition, Tabata added that they are less focus on the four main characters; Noctis, Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis, instead players can create their own avatars and play the game with three other players.

Meanwhile, it seems that PC version for "Final Fantasy XV" could possibly launch next year as Tabata stated in a seperate interview that he wants to put it as a "technical attempt" and wants PC users to appreciate the sequel running on a high-end machines.

However, the idea of porting "Final Fantasy XV" to the PC is not just about improving its visuals and Square Enix is interested in seeing how the introduction of user-created content could benefit the game's experience, Gematsu reported.

Tabata stated before that it will take one year for Square Enix to develop "Final Fantasy XV" on the PC platform and will likely launch sometime in 2018. PC users were adamant about having the game in the PC as they have created several petitions for it prior to its release in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One.
