The new face of Nokia 3310 has been officially revealed at Mobile World Congress. However, the device may not work in countries such as US and Canada.

The Nokia 3310 was one of the biggest revelations at MWC 2017. The classic device has received good reviews after its re-launch. Nokia revealed that the phone has improved battery life compared to the classic 3310 released in the year 2000. The device is a perfect phone to use for traveling because of it has huge battery life and the fact that it is very handy. HMD Global also announced the price of the device is £40 and it will be available in the market this summer.

With the help of the advanced technology, the components of the Nokia 3310 have been upgraded. However, the handset still uses its old frequency: 900 MHz and 1800 MHz. This means that the device will only use 2G kind of communication, which is used to text and call but not for mobile internet connection. Because of this, Nokia 3310 is reportedly not available in other countries this will include US and Canada.

The Nokia 3310 will not do anything in those countries since it cannot connect to the network. Regulators are reportedly shutting the frequencies that are unused so that these can re-use it for other purposes. Devices that are powered by the 2G network will likely vanish soon. The Nokia 3310 may eventually become defunct if that happens.

The Nokia 3310 supports GSM 1800 MHz and 900 MHz, these bands are used in Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Europe. North, Central, and South America, on the other hand, uses 1900 MHz and 850 MHz. The Nokia 3310 will not be able to connect with these frequencies. Therefore, owners of the device will not be able to receive any text messages and calls while in these places.
