According to BBC News, Falcon 9 soared into space from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In a few minutes, it made its way into the clouds, and the rocket booster returned to the ground instead of falling into the ocean. This strategy of landing the rocket booster on the ground is part of SpaceX program of re-using rockets.

While the rocket is back on the ground, the SpaceX CRS-10 Dragon spaceship has also arrived in orbit. The supply ship is on its way to the ISS. The Dragon supply ship is expected to reach the ISS on Wednesday. According to the Mirror, this rocket launch, which took 11 satellites to orbit for ORBCOMM, is the first successful flight after last year's cargo ship explosion.

To capture the momentous success, SpaceX used a Drone to document the rocket's landing. It was a smooth touchdown as shown in the video.
