While catching common Pokemons in the Gen 7 is no sweat, here's a guide on how to snag those harder-to-find, super-rare legendary ones in Pokemon Sun and Moon. It's time to go hunting!

If you are among those who are looking to get their hands on the Ultra Beasts, then you are in luck, thanks to the help of international police officer Looker. Just simply meet him at a guest room in the Akala Island motel on Route 8 to receive each mission.

First on the list is Nihilego. You may have encountered this before during your adventures with Lillie, Lusamine, and Ultra Space. While there is only one Nihilego to catch, you are free to choose whether to go on Diglett's Tunnel or Wela Volcano.

The second Ultra Beast to locate is either two Buzzswole or four Pheromosa. Buzzswole is the only character available in Pokemon Sun and can be sighted in the Melemele Meadow. Phermosa, for the Pokemon Moon, can be found on the Verdant Cavern.

Next on your hunting is Xurkitree.  You can catch the beast in Akala Island, inside Lush Jungle. This is available for both Sun and Moon.

Then, you will be tasked to track down Kartana in the Pokemon Sun and Celesteela for the Moon. There are four Kartana that can be located in Route 17 and Malie Garden, while the two celesteela are sighted on Haina Desert and Malie Garden in Ula'ula Island.

Following a couple of missions and catching, you will be tasked to hunt down the one last Ultra Beast, the Guzzlord. The last one is located at the very bottom of Resolution Cave in Poni Island. But, this last beast is a super tough one that Officer Nanu would even insist that you battle with him first before tackling the beast.

After completing the main campaign and defeating the Elite four, Pokemon Sun and Moon will now allow you to get Alola's guardian Pokemon. Serebii revealed where to find them, just make sure you get them all.

Tapu Koko is the first guardian you will be able to catch before defeating the Elite Four. It can be spotted on the Ruins of Conflict in Melemele Island. Akala Island guardian Tapu Lele can be tracked down inside the Ruins of Life. Grass and Fairy type guardian Tapu Bulu in Ula'ula Island's Ruins of Abundance, and lastly, Tapu Fini in Poni Island's Ruins of Hope.

But that's not all, belwo are some Pokemon Sun and Moon legendaries, according to Tech.Mic. Solgaleo and Lunala are already quite common and easy to find as they have been part of the main story. Cosmog, on the other hand, can be found if you go back to the Altar of the Sunne/Moone on Ula'ula Island. Here's a tip: Pokemon Sun players should start its adventure at night, while Moon on day time. Just enter the portal and go to the top of the platform.

Magearna can be tracked down after you defeat the Elite Four champion. Simply scan the above QR code via the Scanner function found at the bottom part of the menu screen. As for Zygarde, this can be another tough character. If you have been wondering what all those Zygarde cells are for, this is your answer. To complete Zygarde's full form, you'll need to collect all 100, although you can still create another form with just 10 or 50 cells on hand.

Lastly, Necrozma, dubbed as Pokemon Sun and Moon's grand finale. After catching all the Ultra Beasts, head back to Melemele Island then to the Farthest hollow section of Ten Carat Hill to find this legendary Pokemon.
