While Apple's iPhone 8 is already anticipated to offer wireless charging, new leaks found that the phone will actually support a one-of-a-kind tech that has never been seen on any smartphone yet.

According to Apple Insider, Energrous produced a simplified version of the DA4100 RF-Transmit integrated circuit, its WattUP wireless power transmission system. With the size of just 7 x 7 mm, the component is a perfect fit to a unit like the upcoming iPhone 8.

The WattUp platform is equipped with an ARM Cortex-M0+ chip, an RF transmitter, and power management functions. Instead of relying on an inductive charging coil system, the WattUp platform uses small antennas to transfer power. Such technology could increase the device's distance from the power transmitter. Also instead of putting the phone on a specific magnetic connector, charging smartphones could then be done a few feet away.

BGR reported that samples for the component are already being shipped to customer. The initiative hinted that Apple is likely going to be one of the beneficiaries after Energous teamed up with Dialog Semiconductor, whose revenue largely comes from Apple. Dialog also said the WattUp will be available to "most, if not all" of its clients.

Dialog, in exchange, agreed to allocate $10 million for the startup. Dialog will also provide Energous full access to its sales and distribution centers. Meanwhile, other leaks rumored for the iPhone 8 include curved screed, OLED display that would feature "better screen resolution than ones from Samsung," physical UI changes, and improved camera options. Apple could also be featuring a Quad Full HD (QFHD) or 4K.

Another notable feature is reportedly its special laser sensor for gesture recognition. Although this is not new at all, its version boasts to be extremely creative.

Many fans are anticipating as reports suggest that Apple will feature a three-pronged flagship debut, debuting the iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus in September. Inquisitr, however, noted that with Apple's revolutionary changes, its price may be quite too difficult to attain for most clients.
