Square Enix made an important announcement, one that would hopefully erase the company's recent hacking incident.

The tech conglomerate brings some good news to Marvel fans by joining up with Marvel Entertainment. Square Enix game developers already released a trailer showing glimpses of their "Avengers Project."

While the company is better known for their iconic JRPG titles like "Final Fantasy" and "Kingdom Hearts", they also have a slew of western titles as well. This is due to their acquisition of western companies such as Eidos and Crystal Dynamics.

Other side of the Square Enix spectrum

The Japanese tech giant had to turn to their western division in order to breath life to "The Avengers Project." Since the trailer featured the logos of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, this suggests that the western development team will be handling the project, reports Engadget.

Eidos and Crystal Dynamics are known for games like "Hitman", "Tomb Raider" and "Deus Ex." All of these iconic game series have already been published under Square Enix for quite some time.

While Square Enix still focuses on their hit JRPG titles like the "Final Fantasy" series, it's beneficial for them to show the Western audience some love as well. "The Avengers Project" will certainly help bring some comicbook fans to the Japanese company's market.

Recovering from the recent social media hack

Meanwhile, the tech company became the victim of a social media hack just a few weeks ago. Square Enix's European Twitter account posted a string of uncharacteristic tweets, reports Polygon.

The string of tweets ranged from unusually off-topic to downright silly as the hacker targeted other games like Fifa. The hacker even used Square Enix's account to declare that he/she's "the greatest hacker alive."

The company eventually remedied the situation and took control of the Twitter account once again. Square Enix Europe apologized for the whole mess and thanked the fans for their support.

With the recent announcement of "The Avengers Project", the company hopes to take the public's eyes away from their Twitter hacking incident. The good news is exactly what they needed in order to put these unfortunate hacking news to rest.
