Apple did not make a mark in any way at the recent Consumer Electronics Show 2017, leaving some customers shocked. It came as a surprise to many that the company did not showcase any of its products at the tech fair organized in Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, thanks to various discussions and products which connect to its devices, Apple was not completely absent from the CES 2017 proved otherwise. According to Recode News, Apple does not participate in the CES, which is held annually, to market and exhibit its new products.

Nevertheless, it was still talk-of-the-show, and people searched for products to connect to Apple devices. But Apple did not dominate the show in any way this year, and Amazon's Alexa was consumer's top choice. Alexa's skill set with its additional new features attracted quite a lot of attention.

Apple's HomeKit showcased a few products, but they were relatively small and did not attract much interest. With a less than fascinating display of chargers and cases, the company did not bring anything new to the show. Despite having no booth, companies making Apple add-ons assembled in the North Hall at CES 2017, Tech News Tube reported.

Apple's saving grace was the lack of striking new products from any of its competitors at CES 2017. No inventive phones were unveiled. It is believed that a major exhibition of smartphones and breakthroughs in the phone market would take place at the Mobile World Congress in February.
