Rumors about the existence of the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship smartphone have been circulating in the tech community for quite some time now. Recently, a leaked slide revealed that the Mi 6 is packing enough hardware to break benchmarking records.

The leaked slide was first shared on MyDrivers, and it shows the still unconfirmed Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone scoring a record-breaking 210,329 points. Prior to the leak, the holder of the record was the Apple iPhone 7 Plus with a score of 183,106. If the leaked slide is indeed accurate, the Xiaomi Mi 6 outperformed the iPhone 7 Plus by more than 27,000 points which Xiaomi could use as a marketing leverage for its upcoming flagship device.

The first Android smartphone to break set an Antutu benchmark record was the OnePlus 3T. The phone, which is powered by an equally powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, scored an impressive 163,578 points, according to Softpedia. However, this record did not stand long especially as giants like Apple and Samsung started rolling out their products.

In comparison, the OnePlus 3T is powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset, while the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to have a very powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset at its heart.

Unfortunately, the leaked benchmark slide did not provide any hardware information, aside from the score. On the other hand, despite Xiaomi's silence regarding the status of the Mi 6, a lot of tech websites have reported about the smartphone, including its rumored specs. According to Android Headlines, the Mi 6 will have at least 4GB of memory.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835, which sports an octa-core processor, is expected to power some flagship devices from major smartphone manufacturers that will be released this year. Aside from the Xiaomi Mi 6, tech experts believe that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also sport a Snapdragon 835 chipset.
