While the news might come as a shock to some, this is not the first time that Apple would reduce the number of the iPhone that it manufactures. In the first quarter of 2016, the production of iPhones was decreased by 30 percent due to the fewer sales of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus version of the smartphone. Now Apple is again expected to cut down on its production of the iPhone.

According to 9 To 5 Mac, with its user base and popularity, it does not come as a surprise that Apple is still at the top in holiday activations despite the news that it will produce fewer iPhones in 2017. Apple has taken the lead over Samsung in the technology world due to its higher percentage of device activations.

In fact, according to recent statistics, Apple secured the coveted highest place while Samsung landed in second. Despite the fact that Apple is top place in the rankings, its sales have dropped a lot recently.
