There are reports that Microsoft could release the Surface Pro 5 with the Surface Phone and Surface Book 2 in February 2017.

Other reports suggest that the Redmond tech giant will reveal all its highly-awaited devices at the Mobile World Congress 2017 event. Some of the devices were reportedly ready for release by December this year, but the launch was delayed because the company decided to wait for the Intel Kaby Lake processors.

If it is true that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will come with the Kaby Lake processor, it will be a great upgrade from its predecessor's Skylake chipset. These new chips will not only boost the performance of the device, but it will also significantly improve battery life. The Surface Pro 5 could come with a Surface Pen and a new dock in the main device to charge it. It is also expected to feature USB Type-C ports.

Microsoft is expected to make a major update to the design of the Surface Pro 5 and include a 2K/UHD display with 3860 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Surface Pro 5 is also expected to have a hefty price tag of 2,000 USD, depending on i$ts configuration. It should be noted that the basic model of the Surface Pro 4 was sold for only 899 USD.

The Pro 5 will likely feature a bigger battery which will supply about seven hours of battery life as well. Other rumored specs include a USB 3.0 port, microSD slot, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

The Surface Phone will come with full versions of Windows software and an ARM processor. It will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with the Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 3 out of the box.
