OnePlus has finally announced that its newest flagship smartphone -OnePlus 3T - is going to be launched in India soon.

The Chinese smartphone and tablet maker said in statement posted on its official website that the India release date of its much-awaited OnePlus 3T smartphone will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Getting the OnePlus 3T to India has been a top priority for us, and we are delighted to announce that we are all set to release the OnePlus 3T in India shortly," OnePlus' India head Vikas Aggarwal said. "The next big question on everyone's mind would be the announcement of the launch date. I volunteer to put myself up to a round of 'Truth or Dare' where you, our fans, can choose to either ask me anything or challenge me to an adventurous dare."

Aggarwal further stated that at the end of the "Truth or Dare" round, he will announce the India release date of the OnePlus 3T.

The OnePlus 3T is the successor to the OnePlus 3 smartphone, which was launched earlier in the year. Last week, the Shenzhen-based tech firm unveiled the OnePlus 3T in China. Priced at $439, the upgraded version of the OnePlus 3 smartphone is also available in the US and the UK. The company has also confirmed the Europe release date of the device as November 26.

The OnePlus 3T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and would get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The device features a 16 megapixels primary and secondary cameras. It has 6GB of RAM and is available in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It packs a 3400mAh battery along with Dash Charge fast charging technology. The device is available in two color options - gunmetal and soft gold.
